Paris Celebration Trip - 2006Author: Michael Eventually it's happening. At the start of this year, I decided that I was going to run a trip for the members of the club, to Paris, in the Easter holidays, 2006. The main purpose of the trip will be to celebrate the massive successes that this club has managed to achieve over the 15 years that it has been running. When in Paris, the selected members will be staying in the Bussy St. Georges Holiday Inn, on the outskirts of the city. I have created a link to the website of the hotel, which has a great selection of pictures. Paris was the obvious location to celebrate engineering and science for me. It has some of the worlds most amazingly engineered structures and some of the best available views of architecture. It boasts the Eiffel tower, one of the worlds engineering wonders of the world. It also is home to many remarkable structres and buildings such as the Arc De Triomphe and Notre Damme Cathedral. But these are only some of the areas we will visit. For great fun, we will be spending a day at the Cite De Science et L'Industrie, where we can explore many exciting exhibitions, and also, we will spend a day at the Euro Disney Park. This trip will be a one off trip, but depending on the success ( and the members of the club after the commitee at the moment is gone ) may happen again in future years. If you are a member of the club, and would consider attending this chance, please see Mrs. Hill or a member of the commitee at lunchtime. There will be a letter available in a couple of weeks that will be given to the members who come forward. On a less positive matter though, the trip is limited to 11 members. Taking this into account, the places will be allocated on the commitees decision; we'll be working it roughly on a first come first serve basis. If you would like more imformation and aren't going to be able to come to lunchtime, please e-mail me. My e-mail address is on the "Contact Us" page of this website.
